The Bronze Horses
Venice - The Bronze Horses
One of the art treasures conquered during the Serenissima's victorious wars in the East between 12th and 13th centuries is the famous group of bronze horses, testimony of Alexandrian art, seizes in Constantinopole during the IV crusade and set up on the facade of the Basilica San Marco in 1250. The Bronze Horses are the highlight of the Museum of San Marco.
