![]() |
| Baldassare Longhena began work on the Rezzonico Palace in 1660, and it was completed by Giorgio Massari in 1740. The palace, originally belonging to a noble Venetian family, Rezzonico was the last home of English poet Robert Browning (1812-1889), who died here. The city of Venice purchased the palace in 1935 and used it for the reconstraction of the interior of an 18th century patrician dwelling. |
