|Postcards from Romania|
|Hurez Monastery (1697)|
|Hurez Monastery, a Unesco World Heritage site, is the largest and finest of Wallachia's Brancoveanu complexes, and is the site of the school which established the Brancovenesc style.
It is centred around the Great Church built in 1693, entered via a ten-pillared porchway and doors of carved pearwood. The complex was finished in 1697.
