| Iezeru Monastery (16th Century) |

| Iezeru (Iezer) Monastery was founded by Radu the Great (1377-1383) and finished by his son, Mircea the Wise (1386-1418). Prince Mircea Ciobanu with his wife, Chiajna, had it rebuilt in 1559. The monastery church dated from 1720, built by the bishop Ilarion. A group of nuns attends the complex. |
