Postcards from Tuscany
Greve in Chianti
Tuscany - Greve in Chianti
The Chianti district (27km south of Florence) is one of Italy's most famous wine-producing areas; its hill towns, olive groves, and vineyards are quintessential Tuscany. A sinuous road, known as the Strada Chiantigiana, runs from Florence through the heart of Chianti. Its most scenic section connects Strada in Chianti and Greve in Chianti, whose triangular central piazza is surrounded by restaurants and vintners offering wine tasting and wild pork specialities.
