| Via San Giovanni ends uphill with the Arco dei Becci, the entrance into the Piazza della Cisterna, opened into the town walls in the year 1000. In front of the arch, are the houses of the Becci family and the tall family tower. Today San Gimignano with its famous skyline, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages, has its own personality and is renown worldwide as a town of art, under the protection of the Unesco. |
