| On Via San Giovanni stands the beautiful Palazzo Pratellesi, obtained from a convent, with elegant Gothic mullion windows. The building houses the Municipal Library and Archives, as well as a Study Centre. In the main hall, on the first floor, a fresco by the San Gimignano painter Vincenzo Tamagni, Raffaello's apprentice. Further down on the street, is the Chiesa di San Francesco, a superb Romanesque church, of which only the facade is left. In the 13th century the church was the centre of the village. |
