Ieud in winter | |

| In mid-July, the neighbouring villages of Ieud, Botiza, and Vadu Izei hosts the Maramuzical Festival, a lively four day international folk music festival. Ieud is 6km off the road south from Sieu. The oldest wooden church in Maramures, dating from 1364 is in Ieud. Divorce is virtually unknown in this village. From 1787 when the first marriage was register and 1980, there were no divorces in Ieud. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
