| The Merry Cemetery is the creation of carver Stan Ioan Patras (1908-1977), follower of a long line of craftsman. In the 30's, Patras invented crosses with rhyming epitaphs, where the deceased are remembered in good humor, with all their good and bad. Death is derided ironically and sensibly like in pagan times. | ||||||||||||||||||||
