Wooden Church in Surdesti (1724)
The wooden church in Surdesti is one of the most magnificent in Maramures. The church steeple is considered the tallest wooden stracture in Europe. Built in 1724 as a place for the Grecco-Catholic faithful, the church is signposted monument from the centre of the village.
