| The Dracula, Vlad Tepes, who in later life earned the title of "The Impaler", was born in 1431 in Sighisoara, and ruled Wallachia in (1456-1462) and 1476. He was outrageously bloodthirsty, but he was not a vampire. While Vlad Tepes was undoubtedly a strong ruler and is seen by Romanians as a national hero and brave defender of his principality, his practices were ruthless and cruel. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
