Postcards from Romania
Sighisoara
The goldsmiths, tailors, carpenters and tinsmiths, the only craftsmen to have their guilds and workshops inside the citadel, built eight fountains (34m deep) within the city walls to ensure a continuous water supply during times of siege. Guilds existed until 1875.
