| The ASTRA museum was closed in 1950 for "ideological" reasons and under the Ceausescu regime faced with constant political obstruction, struggled to keep alive a pride in rural traditions. The museum displays watermills and windmills, wooden farmhouses, sheep folds, wooden churches, fulling mills, wine presses, mineral and metal processing, pottery art, interior decoration of the houses, a school, an inn, a dance shed, a pub and more. |
