| The exterior of the Evangelical Cathedral is plain save for slender buttresses, a few exuberant stone carvings and a magnificent square portal at the south entrance. Prince Mihnea the Bad the voievode of Wallachia for three years (1507-1510), son of Vlad Tepes the Impaler, was stabbed to death in 1510 outside the cathedral after attending Mass. His tomb is in the crypt inside the church. |
