| Sibiu |
![]() |
| Sibiu occupies a lower river valley below the Fagaras, Cibin and Cindrel mountains and lies near the Turnu Rosu pass (Roten Turm), in a strategic geographical position on a trade route between the Balcans and western Europe. It developed from a single row of houses built by Saxons, Franconian and Flemish settlers in 12C. |
