| The oldest and finest art gallery in Romania is the Brukenthal Museum at Piata Mare 4-5. Although Samuel Brukenthal made his art collection available to the public in 1790, the Brukenthal Museum was officially opened in 1817, three years before Louvre in Paris and seven years earlier than the National Gallery in London. |
