Saint Peter's Square
Rome - Saint Peter's Square
Piazza San Pietro was laid out by Bernini between 1656 and 1667. This square is the most imposing in Rome with it's 240 metres wide by 340 metres long.
In the center stands a splendit obelisk 25m high on the top of which can be seen a cross, which is said to contain a relic of the Holly Cross.
