| 20% of the city of Bucharest was demolished in order to built the new Civic Center with Unirii Boulevard 4 km long. The State Archives built in 1589, the Vacaresti Monastery built over 1716-1724, the Market Halls built prior to 1900 were demolished in 1984. |
