The Church of St. Peter
Perugia - The Church of St. Peter
The interior of the Church of St. Peter, with a nave and two aisles, contains the finest art collection in Perugia after the Umbrian National Gallery. The nave is divided from the aisles by a series of arches, sustained by columns originating from ancient Roman buildings. The upper regions are decorated with large canvases depicting scenes from New and Old Testament, the work of Antonio Vassillacchi and Tintoretto, painted between 1593 and 1594.
