![]() |
| The origins of the Temple of St. Michael the Archangel go as far back as the 5th and 6th centuries. In 1036 it became a dependency of the Cathedral Charter. The temple has four chapels facing onto the ambulatory, each following the Greek Cross model. The Baptistry has frescoes from 15th century by a Umbrian artist; the Madonna del Verde, a fresco dating from 13th century and close by the entrance is a beautiful 14th century fresco. |
