Postcards from Perugia
Via Appia
Perugia - Via Appia
You can reach the town centre by climbing the steps of Via Appia. The arches of the aqueduct which was built during the second half of the 13th century, transporting water from Monte Pacciano to the Fontana Maggiore, were restored in 1516 by Vincenzo Danti. Almost at the end of Via Appia, you can see the Etruscan Arch of which only a few gothic remains are left.
