| Giuseppe Verdi was born in this room in the small village of Busseto on 10-10-1813. His birth certificate is stored in the bell tower of the Church of St. Michael. The Verdianeum, a summer opera event dedicated to Verdi's music, has been held in the town's square every year since 1985. |
