| Castle of Torrechiara |

| The imposing castle of Torrechiara was rebuilt between 1448 and 1460 for Pier Maria Rossi, lord of the area. It has a square base with four towers, fortified with a triple circle of walls and surrounded by the ancient town, which is enclosed in the outer wall. The love story between Pier Maria Rossi and Bianca Pellegrini was frescoed in the Golden Room of the castle. The Festival of Torrechiara is held in the courtyard every year in July. |
