Postcards from Parma
Rocca Di Soragna
In 1198 Soragna became a feud of Guido Lupi, a descendant of the Lombard house. Build as a fortress in the 14th century and later changed to a residence, the property is still owned by the Meli Lupi family, which lives in the palace. A park with a lake and two isles dedicated to Eros and Jupiter surrounds the palace. The inside is rich with halls and galleries frescoed from the floor to ceiling and decorated with paintings, mirrors, tapestries and other beautiful artwork.
