Postcards from Parma
The Cathedral
The facade of the cathedral has three orders of loggias; the highest one follows the inclination of the two pitches of the roof. The central portal is preceded by an arch supported by two columns resting on lions, and is surmounted by an elegant small balcony. The arch was realized in 1281 by Giambono da Bissone. The inside has the shape of a Latin cross and is subdivided in three naves.
