| Church of St.Mary of the Steccata |

| Near Parma's central Piazza Garibaldi is the Church of Santa Maria della Steccata, a delightful 16th century domed church with a wonderful fresco cycle realized by Parmigianino between 1530-1539.The inside has the form of a Greek cross and displays four chapels obtained at the limits of the arms of the cross. The church includes marvelous pieces of work by artists from 16th to 19th century. |
