| Arbore Monastery was built in 1502 by Suceava's chief magistrate, Luca Arbore (he owned the entire village), who raised the small church next to his private residence as a family chapel and cemetery. His Gothic-style tomb lies inside the first chamber of the church, beneath a beautiful carved-stone canopy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
