Tower of London - Crown Jewels
The most famous exhibits in the Tower of London are the Crown Jewels, housed in the Jewel House, Waterloo Block. Finest of all is the Royal Sceptre, containing the world's largest cut diamond, the 530 carat Star of Africa. The Imperial State Crown, made for Queen Victoria in 1837 and worn today by Queen Elizabeth II when she opens Parliament is studded with 3,000 jewels. The other most famous gem is Koh-i-noor, or "Mountain of Light", which adorns the late Queen Mother's crown.
