| The Queen's Guard preparing to take up guard mounting duties from Wellington Barracks. It is the prerogative of The Foot Guards to guard Backingham Palace, Clarence House, York House, St. James's Palace, The Tower of London and Windsor Castle. The Household Troops have carried out these duties since 1660. |
