| Piccadilly Circus |
| Piccadilly Circus, with its statue of Eros, is the heart and soul of London. The name came into use in 17th century, when Rober Baker, a tailor, sold lots of picadils (ruffled collar) and built here a house with the proceeds. The "Circus" refers to the circular junction of five major roads. Around Eros, some 35 shops are offering a treasure trove of expensive goodies. |
