| 7km west of Polovragi is a road that leads to a beautiful grotto, at the gateway to the Galbenul gorges. The Women's Cave, so called following the discovery of bones on the cave's upper floor. Archaeologists believe these bones to be those of women who used to retreat into the cave for safety during invasions in the Middle Ages. | |||||||||||||||||||||
