| Sulina is a romantic spot on the edge of Europe. Its river front promenade is lovely at sunset. Over 50% of the delta's population lives in Sulina. There are only a few vehicles in town, boats are the preffered mode of transport. A canal dug between 1880 and 1902 shortened the length of the Tulcea-Sulina channel from 83.3km to 62.6 km, ensuring Sulina's future as the Danube Delta's main port. | |||||||||||||||||||||
