Sinaia Monastery Church
The town of Sinaia grew up around the monastery. Romania's first king, Carol I, build a castle in the forests nearby. Royal patronage endorsed the towns' upper crust credentials and encouraged some of Romania's wealthiest and most important personalities to build grand villas here too.
