The Bucegi Mountains are known for its stunning views, magnificent slopes covered      with fir,  beech, dwarf pine and juniper, unforgettable valleys, pleasant easy day walks, challenging hikes above Busteni and strange rock formations. Its tallest peaks include Mounts Omu (2505m), Costila (2498m), Bucsoiu (2492m) and Caraiman (2326m).
