Brazil (Brasil) is the fifth largest country in the world, occupying an area of 3,286,470 sq. miles, sixth in the world in terms of population size (over 184 million) and is also the tenth-largest economy in the world. Among its many natural wonders, are the Iguacu Falls, the world's most vast rain forest, the mountains, hills, and rolling plains in the southwest, including Mato Grosso, and a beautiful Atlantic Ocean coastline that has 4,578 miles (7,367 km).
Capital city: Brasilia (pop. 2.1 million). Other Cities: Sao Paulo (17.9 million), Rio de Janeiro (10.7 million), Belo Horizonte (2.6 million), Salvador (2.6 million), Fortaleza (2.1 million), Racife (2.9 million), Porto Alegre (3 million).
