| At Str Gheorghe Baritiu 12 is a charming courtyard that used to be the Greek trading center. It contains a Baroque style Greek Orthodox Church from 1787, built by the Brasov's merchants. Inside is the grave of Emil Brancoveanu. Close by, to the corner of Str Gh. Baritiu is the Blacksmiths' Bastion, which contains the city archives. Gheorghe Baritiu (1812-1893) was a well known historian and publisher. |
