| Some 12km southwest of Brasov, is Romania's premier ski resort. Poiana Brasov is set at an altitude of 1030m, on the foot of the spectacular Mount Postavaru in the southern Carpathians. There is skiing here from December to mid-March on a variety of runs: the Intim, Bradul, and Drum Rosu are the easy ones, the Lupului, Kanzel, and Sub Teleferic the steepest. This resort is popular with snow-boarders and it's considered a great place to learn to ski. |
