| In 1893, Marie married the heir to the Romanian throne Ferdinand. In 1914, Marie became Queen of the Romanians. She and Ferdinand had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls (Carol, Elisabeth, Marie, Nicolas, Ileana and Mircea). The youngest one, Mircea would die at age 4, but the rest of her children did live on. |
